PFZ Strike Gold for Sport Relief!

PFZ (Parent-Free Zone), the new youth group at Fareham United Reformed Church responded to God’s call during Lent to participate in the Sport Relief Mile.
Thirteen of us, including our Minister Rev Paul Bedford were cheered on by a team of supporters and managed to complete three one-mile circuits, running (and sometimes walking!) up and down the steep slopes at Staunton Country Park. Photos can be seen on one of the notice board at the church.
The response from family, friends and church members was overwhelming and by Easter weekend the total amount raised was £1227, making us one of the Top 40 fundraising groups in the country for the event. When Joe first had the idea, his target was £100 and we have smashed that many times over, with your help. The seed fell on good ground indeed!
As you will know from the film we showed you as well as the TV coverage, very bit of sponsorship received will help people living unimaginably tough lives, both on our doorstep in the UK and across the world's poorest countries.
Thank you all for your support and generosity.
