Knitted Love

Knitwitters Molly, Jean, Val and Sylvia with blankets destined for RomaniaKnitwitters Molly, Jean, Val and Sylvia with blankets destined for Romania

On Sunday 16th June 2013, the loving and lovely creations of the Knitwitters was dedicated during our morning worship, as final preparations were being made to send blankets to Romania to support the work of Love Light Romania. Love Light Romania is dedicated to providing support services to children, teenagers & families affected by HIV/AIDS in Romania. With a policy that says you are not dying of AIDS but living a healthy & productive life with HIV.

The Knitwitters would like to thank all those who have donated wool and squares to help you in our efforts. We used to just make squares, but now we knit the squares and make them up into eight rows of five squares, with an edging border all the way round. We have made a total of 20 blankets so far and are still busy knitting and twittering!

If you want to see what a finished blanket looks like or join us as we continue to create more, please feel to drop in on the Knitwitters on a Wednesday morning between 10.30am and 12.00pm in the Lounge at the church.

Our Church family celebrate Ellana Jones' Blessing

Proud parents, Emma and Steve, with godparents, Kim, Aaron, Jemma and Michael joined with all the church family on Sunday 26th May 2013 in the joy of Ellana's Blessing by the Revd Paul Bedford.

Ellana is now a robust toddler, but was born very prematurely weighing only 1lb 12oz and her continuing good health is truly the answer to prayer.
