Hallelujah
We invite you to a special act of worship at Fareham URC on Sunday evening 6 September 2015 at 6pm.
A service based on six excerpts from Handel’s “Messiah” will be sung by the choir.
There will be congregational singing and Holy Communion to which all are welcome.
Thirty-five members of Fareham URC came together for an “Informal Church Meeting” on 11 August 2015, 6.00 – 8.30pm....
No minutes or agenda, but food, fellowship and a deepening of faith.
A bring-and-share supper was followed by a first optional workshop. On offer were a discussion on a book or film that had moved you, or, in another room, a study of the welcome, or otherwise, that was given to communion in Corinth. In the meantime a small group braved the weather and pruned the church garden.
A second workshop offered memorable church buildings one had visited, a free expression art table or “Sing a new song to the Lord” in the church.
All the while, games – board and other – “Table Talk” discussion starter cards, a wordsearch and quiz were all available.
We drew it all together with an act of worship.
