Fairtrade Fortnight 26 February - 11 March 2018Fairtrade Fortnight 26 February - 11 March 2018

Millions of farmers around the world aren't paid what they deserve. We can all make sure that they are treated fairly.

Please make a special effort in the next fortnight to change your buying habits, and purchase as many fairly traded items as you can. Don't forget that many supermarkets do stock fairly traded items - and once you start buying them, keeping doing so.

Suriname is a country in South America bordering Guyana, Brazil and French-Guiana which was colonised by Europeans until their independence in November 1975. We have a lot to learn about this land which is 94% tropical rainforest and its capital Paramaribo is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. More details can be be found at www.wwwdp.org.uk.
