This year the services have been prepared by the Christian women of Egypt around the theme 'Streams in the Desert'. Ours will take place in Fareham United Reformed Church at 10.30am and 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome, not just women!.

The same service will take place all over the world over a period of 24 hours. Each year the selected country and its people becomes the focus of the world's prayers on the day itself. The first service of the day takes place in Samoa as the dawn breaks. The world is then circled in prayer for 36 hours and the service is celebrated in over 170 countries until the last one takes place in American Samoa.

The origin of the movement dates back to the 19th century when Christian women in the USA and Canada initiated a variety of cooperative activities in support of women's involvement in mission both at home and abroad.

The logo below represents four women kneeling in prayer, with the Celtic cross and a circle representing our unity through our diversity. Please join Christians Together in Fareham this Friday.
