Junior worship and fellowship
Junior Church takes place every Sunday morning and is open to all ages. Young people and children take part in the beginning of morning worship and then join in age-related groups for a variety of activities.
Families with babies and pre-school children are welcome to sit anywhere in the sanctuary, or in the safe area at the back of the church, so that everyone can participate in worship. Soft play bags are available for the very young.
Fun for Under Fives (FfUFs) runs every Monday morning in term-time for pre-school children and accompanying adults. The session includes play, craft activities, story time, songs and a prayer.
Messy Church is normally held on the first Monday of school holidays except Bank Holidays. All ages are welcome, accompanied by an adult. A fun morning, including a variety of craft activities, a short time of worship, and a light lunch. There is no charge for Messy Church, but to help with catering, please let us know you are coming by text - 0748 472 7777. The next Messy Church event is on Monday, 16th February between 10 am and 12 noon

Our prayers this month
Every week pray for our Church Officers, Elders, all who lead worship, those who provide and show the PowerPoint and work the camera and microphones, those who provide music during times of worship, those who prepare the flowers and those who provide welcome and hospitality.
Prayer for Growth: God of Mission, who alone brings growth to your church, send your Holy Spirit to give vision to our planning, wisdom to our actions, joy to our worship and power to our witness. Help our church to grow in numbers and in spiritual commitment to you and in service to our local community. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
28th December - 3rd January
To ponder – Simeon’s Song: The Nunc Dimittis
“Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all nations: a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.” (Luke 2:29-32, NIV)
- Give thanks for memories of those we have loved and lost.
- Pray for the elderly, the sick and the bereaved.
4th – 10th January
To ponder: Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. (Isaiah 60:1, NIV)
- Give thanks for the many and varied gifts we have in our congregation.
- Pray for the newly elected elders as they begin their duties.
- Lord God, help us to use our gifts for the good of all and to your glory.
11th – 17th January
To ponder: ‘I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand.
I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles (Isaiah 42:6, NIV)
- Give thanks that day by day, our God restores our hope and lights our path.
- Pray for those whose needs seem overwhelming, those who feel submerged by their distress.
- Loving God, help us to share your hope with the people who need it today.
18th – 24th January
Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (The materials this year have been written by Armenian Christians)
To ponder: There is one body and one spirit, just as you are called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all. (Ephesians 4:4-6, NIV)
- Give thanks for the beliefs that we share as Christians even though our traditions differ, and our practices are diverse.
- Pray for all that we do together as Christians Together in Fareham.
- Pray for the people of Armenia and the displaced people of the Artsakh region under Azerbaijan control.
25th – 31st January
To ponder: Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will send you out to fish for people.’ At once they left their nets and followed him. (Matthew 4:19-20, NIV)
- Give thanks for those who respond to the call of Jesus to continue his work today.
- Pray for ministers, teachers, doctors, nurses and the many others who work behind the scenes in our health services.
- Lord, send us out in your name to share your loving kindness with the people we meet this week..
