Junior worship and fellowship

Junior Church takes place every Sunday morning and is open to all ages. Young people and children take part in the beginning of morning worship and then join in age-related groups for a variety of activities.

Families with babies and pre-school children are welcome to sit anywhere in the sanctuary, or in the safe area at the back of the church, so that everyone can participate in worship. Soft play bags are available for the very young.

Fun for Under Fives (FfUFs) runs every Monday morning in term-time for pre-school children and accompanying adults. The session includes play, craft activities, story time, songs and a prayer.

Messy Church is normally held on the first Monday of school holidays except Bank Holidays. All ages are welcome, accompanied by an adult. A fun morning, including a variety of craft activities, a short time of worship, and a light lunch. There is no charge for Messy Church, but booking is essential - please text 0748 472 7777. The next Messy Church event is on Monday, 22nd December between 10 am and 12 noon

Parent Free Zone Youth Group

Every month we host PFZ (Parent Free Zone) Youth Group on the second Sunday of the month between 5.00pm and 7.00pm, on behalf of Christians Together in Fareham. All children from 8 years of age are welcome.

Children and young people can choose to play a range of table games, table football, table tennis or air hockey. The evening also includes team games, a short time of reflection, and a cooked meal is provided.

An enjoyable opportunity for young people from the local churches to meet together for fun, faith and friendship. Booking is essential - please text 07484 727777

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is the action taken to promote and protect the well-being and human rights of individuals. This includes the promotion of the safety and welfare of children and adults who are at risk of, or experiencing harm, abuse or neglect in any form and their right to protection.

Safeguarding is underpinned by Jesus’ command to his followers to “love one another as I have loved you” (John 13:34-35).

We are committed to safeguarding in every area of our church's life and ministry. This means we will:

Do all we can to create and maintain a safe and caring environment for all people.
Respond promptly and effectively to any form of abuse and neglect, including reporting abuse to statutory agencies when necessary.
Seek to prevent abuse in any form from occurring. We will seek to identify individuals who may pose a risk to others and take necessary actions to minimise risk whilst supporting these individuals in our communities when safe to do so.

Our prayers this month

Every week pray for our Church Officers, Elders, all who lead worship, those who provide and show the PowerPoint and work the camera and microphones, those who provide music during times of worship, those who prepare the flowers and those who provide welcome and hospitality.

9th – 15th November (Remembrance)

To ponder: Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. (Matthew 5:9, NIV)

Give thanks as you pray for peacemakers wherever they are working today.
Pray for those who have suffered as a result of wars and other tragedies.
Lord, in this month of remembrance, we commit ourselves afresh to walk the way of peace,

16th – 22nd November (Safeguarding Sunday)

To ponder: He will cover you with His feathers; under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and rampart. (Psalm 91:4, NIV)

Give thanks for all who work to promote safe practices in our churches and communities.
Pray for all who have been damaged and diminished by abuse, or whose lives continue to be overshadowed by guilt or fear.
Loving God, help us to cherish children and all in our community who are vulnerable, to protect them, and keep them safe.

23rd – 29th November

To ponder: He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10, NIV)

Give thanks that in a world of turmoil and uncertainty, God is our firm centre, the stability we need.
Pray for those we know who are sick, sad or struggling with their mental health.
Lord, give us understanding and compassion.

30th November – 6th December (Advent 1)

To ponder: Come, descendants of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the Lord. (Isaiah 2:5, NIV)

Give thanks for the joy of the season and the opportunities for conversations.
Pray for those who cannot afford to celebrate in the way that they would want this year.
God, open our eyes afresh this Advent to the miracle of your grace.
